Although the product is not due in stores until tomorrow, several auctions have already popped up tonight. Along with base cards, lots of relics and autographs have hit eBay, including more than one cut signature.
As for the David Price below: I am extremely color blind but something tells me that shade of blue is not [...]

Yes, I am still alive.
For much of the last three months, there has not been a bunch of new content here. No pithy comments about drama in The Hobby, not many “Card of the Day” posts, and surely no product reviews.
And as I write this today, I have no plans to bring all of that [...]

The news out of the Texas Rangers medical facilities today is not really encouraging. Hamilton has been bothered by a nagging injury ever since he crashed into a wall while making a catch a few weeks ago. Today, he went on the disabled list, for what appears to be an indeterminate length of time. Sports [...]

Have you ever been surfing the internet and wondered how you got to a certain website? Tonight I was doing that very thing and somehow I ended up at Press Pass’s blog. Press Pass doesn’t update their blog very much, but a few days ago they posted a link to a survey they would like [...]

How many fully licensed football products have been released in the last few years without any autograph redemption cards? I do not know the number for sure, but I would wager a small sum [...]

I recently scored 7 Andre Dawson certified autographs off of Ebay for less than $30 delivered. This is card #3 of the 7.
Wow, check out this beauty!!! This card comes from the 2005 Donruss Classics ‘Stars of Summer’ set. The card is numbered 20/50 and features ‘The Hawk’ wearing his old Montreal Expos uniform.
This card [...]

By now you’ve probably already heard the big news. The only 1981 Topps Joe Montana rookie card to receive a perfect PRISTINE grade by Beckett Grading Services sold for $65,880 dollars in an auction.
What is really sad about this sale is that for just over two grand, someone could have easily bought two 1981 Joe [...]

Here’s one example of an unusual card, except that it’s brand new. It’s a card of the Japan Professional Bowling Association’s Aki Nawa, a card included in the pages of Sports Card Magazine — a Japanese magazine on, well, sports cards. (It’s probably a good read, but you can’t take my word for it. I can’t read Japanese.)

With a title like that, you know where this package came from. Completely out of the blue, John from The Pursuit of 80’s(ness) decided to send me a package consisting of a very random assortment of Yankee cards.
The scans above give you a good idea as to just how random the lot was. Many different [...]

Found this via… somewhere. It’s a challenge to name all the members of the 90+ stolen base club since 1901. Color me a little surprised that the club only has eight members.
Despite my initial surprise, though, it was a bit of a struggle for me to get five right. The sixth I probably should [...]
