1991 Fleer Ultra Greg Maddux

1991 Fleer Ultra Greg Maddux
Before Fleer mastered the art of exceptional photography on high-quality cardstock, they came ou with their 1991 Fleer Ultra set.  Personally, I like this card.  And while it fails to stand up to the standards set by future releases, it is still much better than the base set issues by Fleer in [...]

The Worst Jersey Card I’ve Ever Seen / Card Show Hauls Redux

on December 23rd, 2009 by Newspaperman

So on Monday I went back to the card show at my local mall to do a more thorough search through the bargain bins. What I came across during my search was perhaps the WORST game-used jersey card I’ve ever seen. Look at this 2002 Pacific Private Stock gamer of Shannon Sharpe. Can you spot [...]

Do The Browns Finally Have a Running Back

on December 23rd, 2009 by chemgod

Back in 2006 when the Browns selected Jerome Harrison out of Washington State I had a gut feeling that he was someday going to shine.  I bought quite a few of his Bowman Chrome rookie cards and autographs.  I could easily see him winning the job as starting tailback after only really needing to beat [...]

what the morrow will bring

As the shortened days of this decade wind down, I am reminded that one of my goals of 2009 was to work at least one quote by Horace into this humble but lovable baseball card blog. With unofficial rumors swirling about a potential trade of two Brandons between the Seattle Mariners and the Toronto Blue [...]
