Wantlist – 1995 Fleer.

on March 17th, 2010 by Spiff

Got Jeff Fry on card number 284 of what has to be one of the ugliest card sets ever, 1995 Fleer. Not exactly Irish type colors but I did pick one with at least some green on it for St. Patrick’s Day. The amazing thing is, I still need a few of these ca…

One question about the whole Ron Washington thing

on March 17th, 2010 by Sully

So Ron Washington tested positive for cocaine… and evidently he did coke at Augusta. (Way to take cover behind the Tiger Woods scandal.)I admire that Washington didn’t try to deny it and I also admire the Rangers didn’t show him the door. He’s suppos…

Signing Results – 1982 & 1983 NL MVP Dale Murphy!!
There are a few hobby sites that I frequent often.  WWW.SportsGraphing.com is one of them.  A great tool for the autograph collector, this site has it all from in-person tips to TTM results, as well as upcoming signing info.
And when I read that one of the site’s members [...]

mbTV – 2003 Topps Retired Signature Edition Pack Break

on March 17th, 2010 by beardy

In this episode beardy busts a pack of 2003 Topps Retired Signature Edition. Each pack is guaranteed to contain an uncirculated on-card autograph of a retired player. Will it be a dud, or a stud?

The audio sucks again. Sorry about that. I’m about to invest in some higher quality gear, or at least figure out [...]

Several years ago, there was a local card shop in my town that I would visit almost weekly. There was another regular at the show, who I naturally would bump into from time to time. One time he was telling a story about this guy he traded cards with. …

2009-10 Panini Crown Royale Basketball is a little sexy.

on March 17th, 2010 by Andrew

Panini released more images from their upcoming Crown Royale Basketball release, which is due sometime around June 23, 2010. The set is based upon Pacific’s Crown Royale series from the 1990s-2000s. The base set looks to be die-cut (as the original Crown Royale set was), which is a gimmick that I’m tired of. I want [...]

2010 Tristar World’s Greatest Card Chase blaster.

I’m a weird guy. I really, really like multi-pack retail boxes full of oddball stuff. Being a Tristar fan, I always buy their Greatest Chase and Hidden Treasures [...]

Right now this product is our favorite, next to Masterpieces. I really think the saying, “You get what you pay for…” is true. I do not mean that you will get your moneys worth in cards, but the quality of the base and inserts (both relics and autographs) make this a fun product to open. [...]
