Hey everyone! Happy Christmas Eve! Hope all of you get great gifts and maybe some boxes of cards! If you do, tell me and I'll feature your break on this blog! Well anyway, sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been studying for finals, taking finals, going out of town, etc. Well, basically I've been really busy. So anyway, once I get my camera, I'm going to upload some new vids of some box breaks. Also, I'm going to try and get some pics of the hits. So, yeah, once I open my gifts, I'll post the videos asap. Merry Christmas, Kwanzah, Hanukkah or what ever you celebrate!

More Advice for the Newbies!

Okay, so you now that you know what box breaking is about, which company should you buy from? Here are the pros and cons of each one:

1. Upper Deck-
Who: Upper Deck is probably one of the most well known card company. They have many varieties of cards for every sport. Also, they sell TCG and memorabilia.
Price: Upper Deck has the usual pack for around $1, the blaster boxes for $20 and also some high end products such as Exquisite for several hundreds!
Summary: Basically, they have everything for the budget breaker to the rich box breaker.

2. Donruss-
Who: Donruss is a great company with more pricier packs.
Price: Price for a pack of Donruss is, on average, about $4-5.
Summary: Donruss is for the collector who is willing to spend a little extra for the high quality products.

3. Fleer-
Who: Fleer is a company owned by Upper Deck.
Price: Fleer is middle priced. Their packs cost about $1 and their blaster boxes about $20.
Summary: Fleer is Upper Deck minus the high end products.

So keep this info in mind next time.

First Box Break for the Blog!

Hey y'all it's my first box break! Okay, I'm sorry but it can't be live. See I bought the box during Thanksgiving and was out of town. So anyway, the box I got doesn't really have a name, but it guarentees one free jersey card per box. Anyway, it was only $8 so I bought it. The hits I got were a Sean Gallagher refractor card, a Johan Santana World Domination Card, a Great Moments in Baseball insert, and finally the jersey card. I got ... a Mark McGwire jersey card! Well that's it guys! Bye.

Okay, so I entered a contest to win a box of cards, and I won! I won a box of Upper Deck 08-09 Basketball First Edition Retail Box. It's a retail box and should take 6-8 weeks to get to me. I hope it gets here soon so I can do it as my first break for the blog!

Hey y'all! Welcome to Box Breakology! My name is Sara and I am a card collector and an autograph collector! Welcome to my blog! I have made this blog for an awesome hobby of mine called box breaking! For the regulars who know what I'm talking to, skip the next paragraph, unless you want a refresher course in the art of the box break!

Okay noobs, this is for you. First of all, what is box breaking? Box breaking is the delicate art of buying boxes of sports cards (retail, hobby, blaster, etc.) and breaking, or cracking open, a box of cards to see what hits you get. It is much more exciting then say, buying a couple packs because you have more chances of getting great hits!

This blog will discuss box breaks, review box breaks I've done, and basically will have other stuff too. So sit back, relax, and let's crack into those boxes!
