I keep buying Rickey Henderson cards ‘on the blind’.  And I keep getting disappointed.

Sure, I know that Rickey played for what felt like a new team every year in the late 1990′s and into the 2000′s, but I guess I just keep expecting great looking baseball cards regardless of the team colors he’s sporting.

My latest pick-up is from the 2001 Fleer Tradition set and it features Rickey in his Mariners uniform.  Yes, Rickey played for the Seattle Mariners.

And it is pretty bad…

So, from here on out, I make this pledge – ‘I will only collect baseball cards of Rickey Henderson in which he is wearing his Oakland Athletics or New York Yankees colors’.
