1973 Topps – Jeff Burroughs.

on March 9th, 2010 by Spiff

So the Rangers bought a pitcher from the Yankees today. A relatively unknown reliever named Edwar Ramirez. Looks like a wait and see situation. Jarrod Saltalamacchia missed today’s Cactus League game because of soreness in his shoulder. That man is wor…

New Additions to My Player Collections

on March 9th, 2010 by Joey

As most of you know I am collecting the cards of former Texas Longhorn and current Texas Ranger Taylor Teagarden along with Longview Texas native Chris Davis who is also a Ranger. Most of my player collections involve and attempt to acquire every card issued of the player. I believe I will never be able to Touch’em All as there are way to many 1 of 1 cards not too mention I don’t have an unlimited budget. That said I am still going to try and get as close as I can.

Senators Saturday – Ed Brinkman, 1968.

on March 6th, 2010 by Spiff

Something about Ed Brinkman’s picture on card number 49 of the 1968 Topps set looks a little off. Was Ed’s neck as long as it seems here or is there some kind of illusion going on?Brinkman’s .187 average in 1968 almost seems like an illusion. Even for …

Nolan’s prediction.

on March 4th, 2010 by Spiff

Nolan Ryan says that he thinks the Rangers can win 92 games this season. Ron Washington says that’s not a problem. Haven’t heard if Ron thinks that Josh Hamilton’s 96 wins is a doable mark or not. 92 would be just fine with me. That would very possibly…
